Searchlights over St Paul's Cathedral - 1995 'peace' stamp changed to 1st class from 25p
(mock-up)

A Royal Mail miniature sheet will mark the 60th anniversary of the end of World War 2. The sheet includes a revised version of the 1995 'Peace and Freedom' stamp denominated 1st class instead of 25p, and 5 x 1st class gold Machin definitives arranged in a 'V' formation. The background image of the sheet reproduces the same picture of 'British Troops and French Civilians celebrating' as was used for the 1995 19p 'Peace and Freedom' stamp. In the vertical border chains of olive branch motifs as symbols of peace are printed in gold on the dark red margin - this does not show up well in this image.
