The
London Eye celebrates its 10th Anniversary in 2010 and Royal Mail have
been working with the owners to produce a Commemorative Sheet to
celebrate the event. Since opening in March 2000 Merlin
Entertainment’s London Eye has become an iconic landmark and
a symbol of modern Britain. It is the UK’s most popular paid
for visitor attraction with some 3.5 million people enjoying
the flight experience every year.
The Royal Mail Commemorative Sheets consist of 10 x 1st class stamps, with commemorative labels and a commemorative border. Because these sheets are sold at a premium over face value they will not be listed in most stamp catalogues, but we understand they will be listed in the Smilers Catalogue under the 'Commemorative Sheet' heading.
